Spot rubber falls below Rs 150/kg
Kottayam, May 8
Sheet rubber declined to Rs 149 (150.50) a kg on Saturday. In spot, the market slipped on buyer resistance following the heavy losses in domestic rubber futures on NMCE.
An extremely weak closing in international rubber market during the week hit the sentiments badly and the traders preferred to wait for the market to stabilise at lower levels before enlarging their commitments. The transactions were low.
Futures weak
The May futures for RSS 4 dropped to Rs 145.02 (149.76), June to Rs 147.15 (152.93), July to Rs 147.35 (152.76) and August to Rs 145.34 (149.83) a kg on National Multi Commodity Exchange.
